Hartford, CT –  During tonight’s final gubernatorial debate hosted by WTNH and the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities (CCM), voters will undoubtedly see Republican candidate Bob Stefanowski continue his desperate, false attacks in an attempt to resuscitate a failing campaign.

Stefanowski and his extreme, anti-choice allies are closing their campaign by spending millions on false attacks on the Governor and First Lady– and Stefanowski will take the stage tonight, desperate to distract voters from his own record after a week in which Bob refused to support an assault weapons banpandered to the anti-vax fringe, and declared his support for a 12-week abortion ban.

“On the debate stage tonight, voters will see Stefanowski try to distract voters from his record with a nasty, false smear campaign,” said Lamont Campaign spokesperson Jake Lewis, “Governor Lamont will highlight the historic progress made during his first term as Bob panders to anti-choice extremists, gun-safety opponents and anti-vaccine conspiracists. Governor Lamont will continue to make his commitment to protecting women’s rights, getting illegal guns off our streets clear, and keep our state’s fiscal house in order. After four years of fiscal stability, record-breaking tax cuts, and historic investments in education, infrastructure and public safety– Connecticut voters are ready to support four more years of Governor Lamont.”
