Hartford, CT — Today, Connecticut REALTORS (CTR) is calling for Governor Ned Lamont and Lieutenant Governor Susan Bysiewicz to serve another term. The Association represents more than 19,000 individual members and 15 local boards and associations across the state.

The organization’s decision to endorse the Lamont-Bysioewicz ticket is a sharp turn away from 2018 when they endorsed Republican gubernatorial candidate Bob Stefanowski. The Association’s decision to support Stefanowski was tied up with a $1 million bow in 2018.

Governor Lamont and Lieutenant Governor Bysiewicz are proud to have a partner in CTR, and remain eager to make progress with people across the political spectrum.

“Decisions made by Governor Lamont and his administration over the past four years have allowed Connecticut real estate to thrive,” says CTR 2022 President Tammy Felenstein.

“Governor Lamont kept the real estate industry as an essential business, which was extremely important to the more than ten thousand buyers and sellers under contract at the start of the pandemic. Governor Lamont has proactively worked to reduce property taxes and continues to support policy decisions making Connecticut the right place to live and work,” says CTR’s incoming president for 2023 David Gallitto. “Connecticut’s real estate industry and its economic success are tied together, and Governor Lamont understands that connection.”

“Susan and I are proud to earn the endorsement of Connecticut REALTORS. Four years ago we promised to turn the moving trucks around and that’s exactly what we’ve done. We’re getting our fiscal house in order– making investments in education across the board and installing business friendly policies that make families want to put down roots in Connecticut,” said Governor Ned Lamont.

“Housing values are going up, and this summer July hit its highest level of new housing permits in 17 years. I am grateful to have the support and confidence of the Connecticut REALTORS– we’ve got to work together to keep the momentum going.”

“I am grateful to have Connecticut REALTORS on our team. As a result of our administration’s leadership, during the Covid-19 pandemic, people came to Connecticut because we kept people safe, kept kids in school, and kept our businesses open. We’re rewriting the playbook for the Constitution state– reversing decades of fiscal mismanagement, creating opportunities for families and individuals to earn more, and investing in our future through education, job training, and infrastructure. We are proud to have a partner in the Connecticut REALTORS going forward, and appreciate the work they do to help people find their forever home in Connecticut,” Lieutenant Governor Susan Bysiewicz.
