Hartford, CT – Despite pouring millions of his own dollars into his campaign, Republican Gubernatorial candidate Bob Stefanowski refuses to reveal who has been paying him for “consulting.”
The former payday loan CEO only picked up consulting after losing the Governor’s race in 2018 – did he engage in closed-door dealings knowing he was going to run for office again? Did he promise them something in return? Will he release the client list before voters go to the polls in November?
While Stefanowski shields his client list from public view, it’s clear who is supporting his re-election. An Extremist Super PAC funded by notorious ultraconservative anti-abortion, anti-LGBTQ donor Sean Fieler, has pledged more than $1 million to elect Stefanowski, who they hope will enact their radical agenda.
“Bob Stefanowski is refusing to come clean about who he really works for. He’s invested millions of dollars into his campaign, but won’t be honest about who he’s taken money from– even with less than 100 days until the election,” said Onotse Omoyeni, Lamont Campaign spokeswoman.
“From Super PACs to candidates, Stefanowski has supported and been supported by extremists. He pretends he’s not one of them, but has clearly accepted endorsements from radicals, including former President Donald Trump and the NRA. Until he releases his client list Connecticut won’t know who he really works for.”
