Joe is angry again
Here’s something I’ve never seen before. In response to our thoughtful and well-researched New York Times endorsement, Joe’s campaign fired off a vituperative letter back to the editorial board.
It’s happening again folks, Bruce Banner is ripping through his clothes and turning green right before our very eyes.
This is one of the biggest problems with Joe Lieberman – why they’d want to highlight it is way beyond me. You see, Joe Lieberman has never been wrong in his life. Ever. It’s an almost supernatural quality of his. That someone would dare disagree with how he feels on an issue (or many issues) is just cause for open disdain and outright retaliation. It’s why he shoved his hand in the face of the unsuspecting questioner on CNN, why his first campaign commercials essentially said “we’re just going to have to disagree on the war,” and it’s why he has thrown the entire Democratic Party, and its principles, under the bus since the voters threw him out in August.
Joe is angry. He sees the internal numbers slipping and faces the prospect of being unable to deliver for his good friends who profit from war, high gas prices and expensive medicine. But to show it like this? Amazing. I thought he had learned that lesson in the primary.
Guess the Times was right after all when they said, “he has not shown any capacity to grow and change.”
